Hospices de Beaune auction

162nd edition of the Hospices de Beaune auction this November 2022

This year 2022, Benoît Magimel and Flavie Flamment are leading the charity auction. This iconic piece is a bit special for the 162nd edition of the wine auction. First of all, it is a blend of 3 Corton Grands Crus. The 228 liters are housed in a barrel dedicated to Louis-Fabrice Latour, a great figure of the Burgundian trade who passed away this year. The piece reaches new heights: 810,000 euros will be donated to two associations dedicated to children.

1st association:
Princess Margot: Supporting children with cancer. Since 2012, Muriel Hattab has supported parents of children with cancer through her association. The profits from the sale of the wine will go towards providing temporary accommodation for the family: “La Maison des Parents”.

2nd association:
World Vision: Helping the most vulnerable children. World Vision’s large dream project in Kenya will benefit from the sale of charity coins. The project includes the fight against genital mutilation and child marriage.
This auction is very special because it was particularly moving because several Beaune merchants came forward as buyers. In honor of Louis-Fabrice Latour, the Bichot, Badet, Boisset, Bouchard, Champy, Chanson, Drouin, Faiveley, Jadot, Leflaive, Patriarche and Veuve Ambal estates have been united in memory of his late friend.
Presidential coins are sold in the quaint, traditional way, by candlelight, with the proceeds going to these two worthy charitable causes!
