The alley of 300-year-old plane trees that borders the path that leads to the main house says a lot about the history of this place. At the end of this majestic alley, the Provençal bastide built by Cistercian monks at the beginning of the 18th century is enthroned. The Valentin family has run the estate since 1898, five generations. Ten minutes from St-Tropez, the hillsides of the estate take full advantage of the Mediterranean climate.
Today, Stéphanie and Richard Chagny, cellar master of the estate, produce wines each year that combine delicacy and complexity, maintaining traditional farming and winemaking methods and the typical flavors of Provençal wines.
Twenty hectares of vineyards classified as AOC Côtes de Provence, are exposed to the south, thus making the most of the warm sun of Provence.
The domain manager is very satisfied with her latest vintage (2020) labeled organic. The traditional vintage (Grenache-Syrah-Rolle) in which the family motto “Nature is our guide” can be read presents
a pale apricot color, with aromas of yellow fruit and citrus.
